This fund is used to finance my medical treatments and the cost to manage my illness. The name of my illness is called Neurofibromatosis Type 2. Its a illness of the nervous system that causes benign tumors to grow in my brain, spine and in other parts of my body all the time.

I have underwent one surgery each year since I was first diagnosed in the year 2002. NF has proven to be a financial burden for me and my family because I do not qualify for insurance coverage. I need to have an MRI scan done every six months that can cost from RM800 to RM3,000 for one set of MRI. From time to time, I also need to purchase medical aids and pay for surgeries.

I hope that with this fund, the financial burden of my medical treatment can be eased.
